When it comes to versatility, we give you Gene Neri - good Eagle, sculptor, artist, and hunter. Here Neri is pictured as he worked on the four Eagle stations for the new home of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Aerie, to which he belongs. Born in Maine, he studied music in the East and continued at the University of Minnesota. For twenty years he had played professionally and semiprofessionally, often as featured soloist. He has directed the St. Cloud Eagles' band since 1936. In 1944, he set a record by bagging four bucks with four shots while hunting in Minnesota. No wonder he's earned the nicknames of "meat getter" and "deadeye."
